Another hard problem towards AGI

Introduction

Has this ever happened to you or have you seen this happen ? You walk into a meeting already in progress or a room with some people and having just heard a good joke you decide to regale folks with it but you get no laughs and instead some evil stares and frowns, what just happened !? Well, you failed to “read” the room, they were just discussing someone's death and your joke simply was the incorrect way to break the ice or contribute to the conversation. We usually call the particular circumstances we find ourselves in “context” and we act accordingly, without a proper context like in the above example we are bound to make mistakes.

Context: The circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement, or idea, and in terms of which it can be fully understood and assessed.

And so here we will discuss the matter of context as it relates to AIs and why it is another issue we will need to solve in order to one day achieve some sort of Artificial General Intelligence but also how it sometimes is an issue within narrow AIs.
